Pepperstone or Forex.com, which is better?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • For a trader in the UAE, Pepperstone is the better choice: Forex.com has no UAE website or UAE-licensed company, and its international clients are served by GAIN Global Markets Inc. under a Cayman Islands CIMA licence (25033).
  • Pepperstone offers UAE residents AED accounts, Mashreq Bank and Barclays transfers, Razor pricing at 0.1 pips average on EUR/USD plus $3.50 per side, and a $10 minimum.
  • Forex.com's strengths sit on its UK site: guaranteed stop-losses on thousands of markets and retail negative balance protection, under StoneX's FCA-regulated company.
  • Forex.com's UK minimum deposit is £100, and its UK EUR/USD spread is quoted 'as low as 0.7' points.

Forex.com belongs to StoneX, a large group with licences in the UK, the EU, Australia and Singapore. Little of that helps a UAE resident, because Forex.com doesn't run a UAE operation.

The deciding factor: who would hold your account

Forex.com's UAE address (forex.com/en-ae) returns an error page, and none of its regulated companies is in the UAE. International clients are routed to GAIN Global Markets Inc., licensed by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. Pepperstone, by contrast, has a UAE website, a Dubai office at Emaar Square, a DFSA-regulated DIFC company and AED accounts, while your CFDs are issued by Pepperstone Markets Limited under a Bahamas SCB licence. Both issuers are offshore, but only Pepperstone is set up to serve UAE clients.

Comparing the costs

Forex.com's UK figure is a minimum ('as low as'), and its own account-comparison page says 'as low as 1pt', so the EUR/USD cost is at least $7 a lot, with no commission. Pepperstone's Razor averages give about $8 on MT5 or $7 on cTrader, and Standard about $11. On paper the two are close; the difference is that Pepperstone's numbers are averages you can budget with. Forex.com's global site also lists a RAW Spread account, but we hold no verified pricing for it, and the UK terms don't necessarily apply to the Cayman company.

Where Forex.com is stronger

  • Guaranteed stop-losses on its UK site, with a premium only when one is triggered; Pepperstone doesn't publish a guaranteed stop.
  • A wider regulated footprint: the FCA (StoneX Financial Ltd), CySEC, ASIC and MAS.
  • Retail negative balance protection on its UK site since July 2018; Pepperstone's UAE disclosure gives retail clients the same protection.
  • On swap-free, Forex.com's only mention is a US FAQ saying it is offered 'in certain circumstances'. Pepperstone does not offer swap-free accounts to UAE residents either; Capital.com and XS do.
