How much money do I need to start trading forex?
Several brokers here publish no minimum deposit at all, and others start from $5 to $100. But the minimum to open an account is not the amount you need to trade sensibly — position sizing, not the deposit floor, decides whether an account survives.
What should a beginner check before opening an account?
Three things you can verify in minutes: that the entity serving your country is named and licensed on the regulator's own register, what the withdrawal process and timeline actually are, and what leverage cap applies to you — because that cap changes drastically depending on which entity onboards you.
Is a demo account enough practice?
It teaches the platform, not the psychology. Demo trading removes the loss aversion that causes most real mistakes, so treat it as software training and start live with an amount whose loss would not affect you.
