Is Pepperstone or Capital.com better for CFD trading in the UAE?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • For CFD trading in the UAE, Pepperstone is our first pick and Capital.com a close second: Pepperstone publishes Razor pricing of 0.1 pips on EUR/USD plus $3.50 per side and adds cTrader, while Capital.com wins on an onshore UAE CMA licence and a swap-free account for UAE residents.
  • Capital.com's Dubai company allows higher retail leverage (up to 300:1 on FX, 500:1 on 15 listed majors, gold and crude) than Pepperstone's UAE site (1:200 on major FX and gold).
  • Both offer AED accounts: Pepperstone funds through Mashreq Bank and Barclays transfers, Capital.com through LEAN open banking in AED and USD.
  • Minimum deposit: $10 at Pepperstone, $20 at Capital.com.

These are our two top-rated brokers for UAE residents, so the choice is about fit rather than quality. Here is how licence, leverage, costs and overnight terms differ, and which trader each one suits.

Pick Pepperstone if cost and platforms come first

Pepperstone is the one whose trading cost you can calculate in advance: about $8 per EUR/USD lot on Razor through MT5, $7 through cTrader, and $11 on the commission-free Standard account, all from published averages. Capital.com shows live spreads on its site but publishes no static EUR/USD figure, so we can't price its trades the same way. Pepperstone also offers cTrader, which Capital.com doesn't list.

Who you would be dealing with

Capital.com's Dubai company, CAPITAL COM MENA SECURITIES TRADING L.L.C., is licensed by the UAE Capital Market Authority (licence 20200000176). Capital.com also runs a Bahamas company (SCB, SIA-F245), and its USDT funding for UAE clients goes through that licence, so confirm which company your account sits with. Pepperstone's UAE retail CFDs are issued by Pepperstone Markets Limited, licensed by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (SIA-F217); its Dubai LLC holds a CMA licence limited to introduction and financial consultation, and the group's DIFC company is regulated by the DFSA (F004356). If an onshore UAE licence decides it for you, Capital.com has the edge.

Retail leverage for UAE clients

Higher limits aren't an advantage for most traders: they cut the margin a position needs, not the risk it carries.

Overnight trading and swap-free accounts

Capital.com lists the UAE among 12 countries whose residents can switch to a swap-free account; you need no open trades and you request it through support@capital.com. It doesn't publish admin fees or a grace period, so get them in writing. Pepperstone does not offer its swap-free account to UAE residents. If you hold positions for days and need swap-free terms, Capital.com is the better choice.

Funding, platforms and protection

  • AED accounts at both. Pepperstone: Mashreq Bank and Barclays transfers with no minimum, up to 2 business days, plus cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Capital.com: LEAN open-banking transfers in AED and USD, plus cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and others.
  • Withdrawals: Capital.com says it typically handles requests within 24 hours, with up to 5 business days for money to arrive; Pepperstone lists cards within 1 business day and Apple Pay or Google Pay as immediate.
  • Platforms: both offer MT4, MT5, TradingView and their own web and mobile platforms; only Pepperstone adds cTrader.
  • Risk tools: Capital.com publishes guaranteed stop-losses and a hedging mode; Pepperstone doesn't publish a guaranteed stop. Both give retail clients negative balance protection.
