Which brokers offer weekend index trading apart from IG?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone does: its NAS100 and US500 perpetual CFDs trade 24/7, weekends included, and both appear on the retail margin table of the Bahamas entity that serves Hong Kong.
  • Perps carry a funding rate set weekly in advance and applied daily at 5 pm New York time, instead of a normal overnight swap.
  • There is no weekend Hang Seng or Dow product on Pepperstone's retail table; Capital.com and XS publish no weekend index product in our data.
  • On IG: we have not verified its weekend markets, and from Hong Kong its site redirects to its Chinese page with no SFC licence shown. Pepperstone has no SFC licence either (SCB Bahamas, SIA-F217).

Weekend index trading used to be a near-monopoly product. Pepperstone now offers round-the-clock trading on two major US indices through perpetual CFDs, and Hong Kong residents can access them through its international entity. Here is what it covers and how it is priced.

Pepperstone's 24/7 index perps

Pepperstone launched perpetual CFDs in 2026: contracts with no expiry that trade 24/7 and need no crypto wallet. The retail margin table for Pepperstone Markets Limited, effective September 2026, lists NAS100-PERP and US500-PERP among five perps, alongside gold, WTI and Brent. That means a Hong Kong retail client can open, close or hedge a Nasdaq 100 or S&P 500 position on a Saturday. Perps run on TradingView, MT5, cTrader and the Pepperstone app. Before using them, remember the account sits with Pepperstone's Bahamas company, which retail clients rely on for negative balance protection rather than any SFC regime.

How the cost differs from a normal index CFD

A regular index CFD at Pepperstone is spread-only, with NAS100 averaging 1 point on Razor, plus nightly financing if you hold. A perp replaces that nightly financing with a funding rate published a week ahead and applied each day at 5 pm New York time. Because the rate is known in advance, you can work out a week's holding cost before you open the trade. Check the perp's spread in the platform, since our data has no published average for it, and expect weekend prices to move without a live cash market behind them.

A note on IG in Hong Kong

We have not verified the details of IG's weekend markets, so we make no claim about them. What our fact pack does show is that IG's Hong Kong address redirects to its Chinese-language site and no SFC licence is shown there. Capital.com, our second choice, and XS, third, both accept Hong Kong residents; neither appears in our data with a weekend index product or an SFC licence.
