Which UK brokers offer cTrader?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is the FCA-regulated broker we can confirm offers cTrader to UK clients: it runs on the spread-betting, Standard and Razor accounts of Pepperstone Limited (FCA 684312).
  • Razor commission on cTrader is $3.00 per side on FX ($6 round trip) and $3.50 per side on gold, the lowest FX rate across Pepperstone's platforms.
  • FxPro holds an FCA licence and lists cTrader on its site; check that its UK company offers it before you apply.
  • IC Markets, FP Markets and Fusion Markets also offer cTrader, but none holds an FCA licence in our data, and Capital.com does not offer cTrader.

cTrader appeals to traders who want C# automation and a lower raw-spread commission, but in our data fewer brokers offer it than MetaTrader, and several that do are not FCA-regulated. Pepperstone offers it on every UK account, which makes it our pick. Here is the full picture.

Pepperstone: cTrader on every UK account

Pepperstone's UK account table lists cTrader for spread betting, Standard and Razor. That means you can spread bet through cTrader in pounds per point, or trade CFDs with commission-free Standard pricing or raw Razor spreads. On Razor, cTrader is the cheapest way to trade FX at Pepperstone: $3.00 per lot per side in a USD account, against $3.50 on MT5, TradingView and the Pepperstone platform. Automation runs through cTrader Automate, where strategies (cBots) are written in C#.

What cTrader costs on Pepperstone Razor

  • EUR/USD, one standard lot, round trip: published average spread 0.1 pips ($1) plus $6 commission, about $7 in a USD account.
  • Gold (XAU/USD): $3.50 per side, $7 round trip, plus the spread (minimum 0.08 on the UK costs page).
  • Standard account on cTrader: no commission; EUR/USD averages 1.1 pips.
  • Spread betting on cTrader: no commission; stakes in GBP per point.

Why an FCA licence matters for a cTrader account

A UK resident opening an account with an offshore entity gives up protections that come with an FCA-regulated firm. At Pepperstone those include FSCS cover for eligible clients up to £85,000, segregated client money at top-tier banks, negative balance protection for retail clients, and the spread-betting tax treatment Pepperstone describes. A cheaper commission at an offshore cTrader broker does not replace them.

No. Capital.com lists its web platform, mobile app, MT4, MT5 and TradingView.

Can I spread bet on cTrader in the UK?

Yes, with Pepperstone. Its UK spread-betting account is available on cTrader as well as MT4, MT5, TradingView and its own platform.

Is IC Markets FCA-regulated for cTrader?

Not in our data. IC Markets lists regulation by ASIC, CySEC and the Seychelles FSA, with no FCA licence shown.

CFDs and spread bets are complex and high risk because leverage magnifies losses as well as gains. Pepperstone Limited states that 73.6% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading these products with it. Broker terms change; confirm them before opening an account. Not investment advice.
