Which brokers let you trade indices outside normal market hours?
Verdict
- Pepperstone is our pick for trading indices outside normal hours: its perpetual CFDs on NAS100 and US500 trade 24/7, including weekends, according to Pepperstone.
- Both perpetuals appear on Pepperstone's UAE retail margin table. Pepperstone's pages don't state retail eligibility for every region, so confirm your account can trade them before you rely on them.
- For single US stocks, Pepperstone offers 100+ US share CFDs that trade 24 hours a day, five days a week, under a '-24' suffix.
- Our verified data shows no round-the-clock index product at Capital.com or XS, so check their trading-hours pages before choosing them for this.
Exchanges close; news doesn't. If you want to react to a Saturday headline or trade US indices during Gulf evening hours without waiting for the next session, you need a contract built for continuous trading. Pepperstone has one. Here is how it works, what it costs to hold, and the risks that come with trading when the underlying market is shut.
Pepperstone's 24/7 index contracts
Pepperstone launched perpetual CFDs in 2026. They have no expiry, trade 24/7 and need no crypto wallet; despite the name, they are not crypto products. The underlyings include the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500, plus gold, WTI and Brent crude and a list of single stocks. On Pepperstone's UAE retail tiered-margin table (version dated 3 September 2026), the perpetuals listed are GOLD-PERP, NAS100-PERP, US500-PERP, WTOIL-PERP and BRENTOIL-PERP. They run on TradingView, MT5, cTrader and the Pepperstone app. We rate Pepperstone first here because it is the only broker in our verified data with a published weekend index product.

How the funding rate replaces overnight swaps
A normal cash index CFD charges overnight financing each time you hold past the daily rollover. A perpetual instead uses a funding rate that Pepperstone sets a week in advance and applies daily at 5 pm New York time. Because the rate is known ahead of time, you can price a multi-day hold before you open it. On its Australian fee page, Pepperstone also lists a commission of 0.015% per side on most perpetuals (0.03% on gold and MSTR). If the same rate applies to your UAE account, a $20,000 NAS100-PERP position would cost $3 to open and $3 to close, before the spread and funding.

Risks of trading while the exchange is closed
- Thinner trading: fewer participants outside exchange hours can mean wider spreads and bigger jumps between prices.
- Gaps at the reopen: when the underlying market opens, prices can move sharply away from the weekend level and skip past a stop.
- Stops are not guaranteed: Pepperstone publishes no guaranteed stop-loss, so a stop becomes a market order and can fill at a worse price.
- Leverage still applies: UAE retail leverage on major indices goes up to 1:200 on Pepperstone's table, which magnifies any weekend move.
Capital.com and XS for after-hours trading
Capital.com's Dubai company holds a UAE CMA licence (20200000176) and lists index leverage up to 300:1, but our verified data has no perpetual or 24/7 index product for it. XS's index hours aren't in our data either; its verified pricing is EUR/USD from 0.1 pips on the Elite account ($6 round turn, $500 minimum). If after-hours index access is the reason you are choosing a broker, ask each one for its index trading schedule in writing.

No. Pepperstone's perpetuals track indices, commodities and stocks, and Pepperstone says no crypto wallet is needed.
How often is the perpetual funding rate charged?
Daily at 5 pm New York time, at a rate Pepperstone sets one week in advance.
CFDs, including perpetual CFDs, are complex and leveraged, and you can lose money quickly, especially when markets gap. Make sure you understand how funding and margin work before trading. This is general information, not investment advice.
