What is the best broker for trading the US30?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is our pick for trading the US30 (Dow Jones): it publishes an average spread of 2 points on Razor and 2.3 on Standard, with no commission on index CFDs.
  • UAE retail clients can trade it with up to 1:200 leverage, as a major index, on MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView or the Pepperstone app.
  • Capital.com, second, allows up to 300:1 on indices for UAE clients and offers a swap-free account here; XS publishes no US30 pricing in our data.
  • Pepperstone also lists a US30 forward (US30-F) with a 5-point minimum spread, a separate product with its own terms.

The US30 tracks the Dow Jones Industrial Average and moves in large point swings, so a few points of spread add up quickly. Pepperstone publishes a 2-point average with no commission, which makes it our pick. Here is what a trade costs, how much margin it needs and what to compare.

Why Pepperstone is our pick for the US30

Pepperstone's index-fee table (published on its Australian site with August 2026 data) gives the US30 a minimum and average spread of 2 points on Razor and 2.3 points on Standard, and there is no commission on index CFDs on either account. That means Razor is simply the cheaper account for the Dow. You can trade it on every Pepperstone platform; UAE retail clients get up to 1:200 leverage on major indices, and the account can be funded in AED with a $10 minimum.

What a US30 trade costs and ties up

Costs depend on how much you trade per point. Taking a $1-per-point position at Pepperstone's published averages, and an illustrative index level of 45,000:

US30 at Pepperstone, $1 per point, illustrative level 45,000
RazorStandardUS30-F forward
Spread2 points (avg)2.3 points (avg)From 5 points (min)
Spread cost per round turn$2$2.30From $5
CommissionNoneNoneNone on index CFDs
Exposure$45,000$45,000$45,000
Retail margin at 1:200$225$225Check in the platform

Reading those numbers

  • A 100-point move in the Dow, about 0.2% at 45,000, makes or loses $100 on a $1-per-point position.
  • Margin of $225 at 1:200 is wiped out by a 225-point move against you, about 0.5%.
  • The forward has a wider minimum spread and its own financing terms; read Pepperstone's US30-F details before choosing it for a longer hold.
  • Prices gap over weekends and around US data, and a stop-loss can fill beyond its level.

How Capital.com and XS compare on the Dow

Capital.com does not publish a US30 spread in our data, but its Dubai company, licensed by the UAE CMA (20200000176), allows up to 300:1 on indices, which cuts the margin on the same $45,000 position to $150 and raises the speed of losses accordingly. It also offers UAE residents a swap-free account, useful if you hold index trades overnight. XS lists MT4 and MT5 and applies swap-free terms automatically, but our data has no US30 pricing for it. On published costs, Pepperstone is our pick.
