Can I trade perpetual CFDs on TradingView?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Yes. Pepperstone, our pick, lists TradingView as one of four platforms for its perpetual CFDs, alongside MT5, cTrader and its own app.
  • In Australia, TradingView connects to Pepperstone's Razor account only, so you need Razor rather than Standard.
  • Perpetual commission is 0.015% per side on most contracts (0.03% on GOLD and MSTR); funding is charged daily at a rate set each week.
  • Pepperstone's Australian pages do not state whether retail clients may trade perpetuals, so confirm eligibility before you fund.

TradingView is a charting and trading front end; whether a product is tradable there depends on the broker you connect. Here is how it works with Pepperstone.

Yes, through a Pepperstone Razor account

Connect a Pepperstone Razor account to TradingView and you can trade its perpetual list straight from the chart: NAS100, US500, GOLD, WTOIL, BRENTOIL and twelve single stocks including NVDA, TSLA and SPCX. Your counterparty is Pepperstone Group Limited (AFSL 414530). We rate this the best route to perpetuals for chart-led traders, because TradingView's alerts and drawing tools are where many of them already work.

Costs when you trade perpetuals from TradingView

The Razor commission of USD 3.50 per side per lot is the FX rate. Perpetuals have their own charges:

  • Commission: 0.015% of position value per side, or 0.03% on GOLD and MSTR, with no minimum.
  • Funding: applied each day at 5 pm New York time at the week's published rate.
  • Example: a $20,000 US500 PERP position costs $3 to open and about $3 to close, plus funding for every cut-off it is held through.

Before your first perpetual trade on TradingView

  1. Ask Pepperstone whether your account, retail or Pro, can trade perpetuals.
  2. Get the margin requirement for the symbol you plan to trade; the Australian pages do not publish it.
  3. Set price alerts that reach your phone, because the contracts trade through the weekend.
  4. Size for gaps: Pepperstone offers no guaranteed stop-loss.

Other brokers on TradingView

Capital.com, our second choice in Australia, also offers a TradingView integration, and IC Markets, FP Markets, Vantage and Fusion Markets list TradingView as well. None of them shows a perpetual CFD product in our fact files, so for perpetuals on TradingView, Pepperstone is the one we can confirm.
