What's the best broker for perpetual CFDs?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is the best broker for perpetual CFDs we can point to: it is the only one in our verified data that publishes a perpetual CFD range with prices, 17 contracts on its Australian costs page.
  • We found no published perpetual CFD product for Capital.com or the other brokers in our fact files, so this is a field of one rather than a close race.
  • Before opening an account in Australia, ask Pepperstone whether retail clients can trade them; its UK arm offers them to professional clients only.
  • If you want crypto perpetuals, those are mostly exchange-listed futures, a different product with different risks.

Perpetual CFDs are a 2026 product, and most brokers have not launched one. That narrows the choice to firms that publish both a contract list and a price. Here is how we judged it.

Pepperstone: the only priced range we found

Pepperstone sells perpetual CFDs across its group, and its Australian costs page is specific: 0.015% commission per side on most contracts, 0.03% on GOLD and MSTR.US, no minimum, and a funding charge fixed weekly. Australian clients deal with Pepperstone Group Limited, licensed by ASIC under AFSL 414530. You can trade on TradingView, MT5, cTrader or Pepperstone's app, and the contracts never expire.

What a good perpetual CFD broker should publish

Pepperstone meets the first three tests on its Australian pages. The last two are the gaps to close with its support team before you trade.

  • A licensed issuer in your country; for Australians, an AFSL holder.
  • The contract list and the commission in writing.
  • How funding is set and when it is charged.
  • The margin or leverage for each perpetual.
  • Who is eligible: retail clients, professionals or both.

How the brokers we track compare

'None found' means none in the broker facts we verified, not proof that a product does not exist. Check a broker's own site if you need a second provider.

Are perpetual futures on a crypto exchange an alternative?

They are a different product: contracts listed on an exchange, mostly on crypto assets, usually margined in crypto. Pepperstone's perpetuals cover indices, commodities and shares, need no wallet, and sit in an ASIC-regulated CFD account. If what you want is crypto exposure through a broker, Pepperstone's ordinary crypto CFDs (31 on its Australian account table) are the route, at retail leverage of 1:2.

Which Pepperstone perpetuals have the lowest commission?

Everything except GOLD and MSTR.US is charged 0.015% per side; those two are 0.03%.

Can Australians trade Unitree perpetuals at Pepperstone?

Unitree appears on Pepperstone's EU pages and, for professional clients only, its UK pages, but not on the Australian list of 17.

Are perpetual CFDs riskier than ordinary CFDs?

They carry the same leverage risk plus two of their own: prices that move at weekends while you are away, and a funding cost that changes weekly.

CFD trading is high risk: leverage means a small market move can cost you a large share of your balance, quickly. These products are complex. We give general information, not investment advice; costs and conditions change, so verify them with the broker.
