Does Pepperstone offer perpetual CFDs?
Verdict
- Yes. Pepperstone offers perpetual CFDs: contracts with no expiry date that trade 24/7, with a funding rate set weekly instead of a fixed contract end.
- Its Australian costs page lists 17: AMD, BRENTOIL, CXMT.CN, DRAM, GOLD, GOOGL, MSTR, MU, NAS100, NVDA, SKHYNIX.KR, SMSN.KR, SNDK, SPCX, TSLA, US500 and WTOIL.
- Commission is 0.015% per side, or 0.03% for GOLD PERP and MSTR.US PERP, with no minimum.
- Pepperstone's Australian pages do not say whether retail clients can trade them; in the UK they are restricted to professional clients.
Pepperstone launched perpetual CFDs in 2026 as a group-wide product. Below is the full Australian list, what it costs, which platforms carry it, and the one question you need to put to Pepperstone before you plan around it.
Yes, and Pepperstone is where we would trade them
Perpetual CFDs are new enough that few brokers publish them at all, and Pepperstone is the only one in our verified data with a priced range. Each contract has no expiry, trades around the clock including weekends, and needs no crypto wallet or exchange account. You can trade them on TradingView, MT5, cTrader and the Pepperstone app, through the same Pepperstone Group Limited account (ASIC, AFSL 414530) that holds your other CFDs.

What perpetual CFDs does Pepperstone offer?
The Australian costs page groups them into three kinds of underlying:
| Group | Symbols listed | Commission per side |
|---|---|---|
| Indices | NAS100, US500 | 0.015% |
| Commodities | GOLD, WTOIL, BRENTOIL | 0.03% on GOLD; 0.015% on oil |

How they differ from Pepperstone's ordinary CFDs
- Hours: ordinary CFDs follow their market's sessions (100+ US share CFDs also trade 24/5 under the -24 suffix); perpetuals trade 24/7.
- Holding cost: ordinary CFDs pay an overnight swap; perpetuals pay a funding rate that Pepperstone sets a week in advance and applies daily at 5 pm New York time.
- Commission: index CFDs carry none and US share CFDs cost $0.02 per share; perpetuals are charged as a percentage of the position.
The eligibility question to ask first
Pepperstone's UK site makes perpetual CFDs available to professional clients only. Its Australian pages list and price them but do not say whether retail clients may trade them, so ask Pepperstone support (1300 033 375) before you plan a strategy around them. If you qualify as a wholesale client in Australia, through the sophisticated-investor tests or the AUD 2.5 million net-asset or AUD 250,000 income test, check what you give up: pro clients get a one-time negative balance protection of up to USD 100,000 rather than the full retail protection.

Can I trade Pepperstone's perpetual CFDs on MT4?
Pepperstone lists TradingView, MT5, cTrader and its own app for perpetual CFDs; MT4 is not among them.
Are Pepperstone's perpetual CFDs crypto products?
No. The Australian list covers indices, gold, oil and individual stocks, not cryptocurrencies, and you need no crypto wallet.
Does a perpetual CFD ever expire?
No. You hold it until you close it or it is closed out on margin, paying the daily funding charge while it stays open.
Perpetual CFDs, like all CFDs, are leveraged and can lose you money quickly, including over weekends when the underlying market is shut. Check eligibility, the PDS and the TMD with the issuer. Not investment advice.
