What are the trading hours for FTSE 100 CFDs?
Verdict
- Pepperstone, our pick for FTSE 100 CFDs, shows each market's session times in the symbol details on its platforms; the exact UK100 hours aren't printed on the UK web pages we verified, so check them there before you trade.
- Two clock times matter on every FTSE CFD at Pepperstone: the 10 pm UK cut-off for overnight fees, and the reopening, when prices can gap because Pepperstone's stops aren't guaranteed.
- A UK100 CFD is priced from 1 point on Razor and 1.2 on Standard at minimum, with published averages of 1.5 and 1.9.
- If you hold through closes, IG, CMC Markets and Capital.com sell guaranteed stops; Pepperstone doesn't.
We don't quote a timetable we haven't verified, and Pepperstone's UK web pages don't print the UK100 session. What we can show you is where the live hours sit on each platform, which clock times change your costs and risks, and how to plan FTSE trades around them.
Finding the UK100 session at Pepperstone
Pepperstone Limited (FCA 684312) offers the UK100 as a CFD on Razor and Standard and as a spread bet, on MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and its own platform. Session times are part of each symbol's contract details, and that is the figure to trust because it reflects the account you actually trade:
- MT4 and MT5: right-click UK100 in Market Watch and open Specification; sessions are listed by weekday in server time, so convert to UK time.
- cTrader and TradingView: open the symbol information for UK100 on the connected Pepperstone account.
- Pepperstone's own web platform and app: view the market details for UK100.

The clock times that change your costs
| When | What happens | Where Pepperstone says so |
|---|---|---|
| Position still open at 10 pm UK time | Overnight fee charged | UK costs and fees page |
| Market reopens after a close | Price can gap; stops can fill beyond their level | UK terms and conditions |
| Over a weekend | Positions carry over with no guaranteed stop to cap a Monday gap | UK terms and conditions |
| Any time the market is open | No commission on index CFDs; you pay the spread | Index-fees page |
Spreads in quieter hours
Pepperstone's published UK100 figures are a 1-point minimum on Razor and spread bets and 1.2 on Standard, with averages of 1.5 and 1.9 in its August 2026 index data. Minimums are reached in the most liquid conditions. The live spread can be wider when the London market underneath is shut or thin, so check the quote at the time you plan to trade rather than relying on the minimum.
Planning FTSE trades around the session
- Day traders: close before 10 pm UK time and no overnight fee applies.
- Swing traders: size positions so a gap at the open can't take you past what you can afford to lose; margin is 5% at the 1:20 retail cap.
- If you need a hard floor on losses through closes, use a firm with guaranteed stops: Capital.com (FCA 793714), IG and CMC Markets all offer them.
- Pepperstone lists support as 24 hours on weekdays (its contact page says 24/7), so help is available during early and late sessions.
Can you trade the FTSE around the clock?
Some Pepperstone markets trade almost continuously: selected US shares have '-24' versions that run 24 hours, five days a week, and perpetual CFDs trade 24/7. Perpetuals are Professional-only in the UK, and the published list (NAS100, US500, gold, oil and single stocks) doesn't include the UK100. For the FTSE, retail traders work within the CFD's session as shown on the platform.
