Which forex broker has the fastest execution?
Verdict
- Pepperstone is our pick for execution-sensitive forex traders: it publishes execution from 50 milliseconds, a 99.32% fill rate and no dealer intervention for fills from 1 January to 31 March 2026.
- That is Pepperstone's own claim; we haven't measured it, and the other brokers in our data publish no speed figures to compare.
- Pair speed with cost: a Razor round turn on one lot of EUR/USD averages $7 to $8 all-in, while 0.2 pips of slippage alone would add $2.
For a forex scalper or algorithmic trader, execution decides whether a strategy works at all. Few brokers publish measurable execution data, and none can promise a fill price in a fast market. Pepperstone publishes a speed, a fill rate and a test window, so here we put those numbers in context, cost them per lot, and show what you can set up to cut delays on your side.
Pepperstone's execution claim for forex
Pepperstone states execution "from 50 milliseconds, with a 99.32% fill rate and no dealer intervention", based on fills from 1 January to 31 March 2026. UK clients trade through Pepperstone Limited, authorised by the FCA (684312), on Razor, Standard or spread betting accounts.

Speed versus cost per lot
One standard lot of EUR/USD in a USD account, at Pepperstone's published averages ($10 per pip). The last row is a hypothetical slippage, to show why execution quality can matter as much as commission.
| Account and platform | Spread cost | Commission | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Razor, cTrader | $1 (0.1 pips) | $6 | $7 |
| Razor, MT5 or TradingView | $1 | $7 | $8 |
| Razor, MT4 | $1 | $7 charged on opening | $8 |
| Standard | $11 (1.1 pips) | None | $11 |
| Hypothetical slippage of 0.2 pips | $2 | — | +$2 |
Shortening the path on your side
- VPS: Pepperstone offers a free virtual private server to eligible and professional clients, so EAs run close to its servers rather than on a home connection.
- cTrader: cheapest Razor commission on FX and built-in C# automation.
- API trading for those who build their own systems.
- Smart Trader Tools add-ons for MT4/MT5, such as Trade Terminal and Mini Terminal.
What no broker can promise
Pepperstone's UK terms say it can't guarantee that limit or stop-loss orders will be executed at the specific level, and a 99.32% fill rate means some orders weren't filled. In fast news markets, prices can jump past your order. Retail clients have negative balance protection, and position size is the tool that really caps the damage.
If you'd rather pay for certainty
Capital.com, IG and CMC Markets offer guaranteed stop-losses in the UK, which fill at your price for a charge. They don't publish execution speeds in our data. Capital.com is our second choice overall, with FCA authorisation (793714) and MT4, MT5 and TradingView.

Leveraged forex trading can lose money quickly, whatever the execution speed. Pepperstone reports that 73.6% of its UK retail investor accounts lose money on spread bets and CFDs. Speeds quoted are the broker's own claims; this is not investment advice.
