Which forex broker has the best reviews in the UK?
Verdict
- Pepperstone is the forex broker we rate highest for UK traders, judged on published costs, FCA authorisation (684312) and platform choice rather than on user star ratings.
- We don't quote review-site scores, because they change constantly and mix clients of different group companies.
- Pepperstone has weak spots worth knowing: no guaranteed stop-loss, and some of its own published figures conflict.
- Capital.com is our second choice, and the better fit if you want guaranteed stops.
"Best reviews" can mean user ratings or expert verdicts, and both are worth less than the facts behind them. We're an affiliate site, so you should know how we judge: we compare what each broker publishes about cost, regulation, platforms and protection, and we say where our top pick falls short. On that basis Pepperstone leads for UK forex traders.
The broker we rate highest for UK forex
Pepperstone wins on the combination: a published Razor EUR/USD average of 0.1 pips plus commission, or 1.1 pips on Standard with none; FCA authorisation for its UK company; and MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and its own platform. It also offers forex as a spread bet, which Pepperstone says is exempt from capital gains tax in the UK, depending on individual circumstances.

Signs a forex broker review is reliable
- It names the regulated company and reference number, not just the brand.
- It distinguishes "from" spreads from averages; a "from 0.0" headline is a floor, not a typical cost.
- It says whether the site earns commission (we do, through the links on this page).
- It lists the broker's weaknesses, not only its strengths.
- User reviews: look for repeated complaints about withdrawals or verification, and check the reviewer used the UK entity.
Where Pepperstone falls short
None of these change our ranking, but each could matter to a particular trader.
- No guaranteed stop-loss: its UK terms say stop orders can't be guaranteed.
- Conflicting figures: its own pages give 1,350+, 1,444 and 2,700+ for its market count, and "24 hours on weekdays, 18 at weekends" versus "24/7" for support.
- Withdrawals: the UK withdrawals table lists bank wires as free, but the costs FAQ quotes £15 for an international wire.
- No retail crypto in the UK, though that applies to every FCA-regulated firm under the 2021 ban.

Why don't you show Trustpilot or app-store ratings?
They change daily and often blend clients of a group's different companies. We only publish facts we can source from the broker or regulator.
