Which brokers offer AI trading tools?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is our pick for AI-driven trading, with a caveat: we found no current built-in AI assistant, but it supports the routes for running your own models, namely MT4/MT5 expert advisors, cTrader Automate cBots, API trading and a free VPS for eligible clients.
  • Older Pepperstone pages mention Capitalise.ai and Autochartist, but we could not confirm either as a current offering, so we don't count them.
  • Capital.com allows expert advisors on MT4 and MT5 according to its help centre; XS offers MT4 and MT5 but publishes no EA policy in our data.
  • Treat any broker's “AI” label with care: ask what the tool does, where its signals come from and whether it can place trades on its own.

“AI trading tools” can mean an assistant that suggests trades, an automation platform for your own model, or a copy-trading feed. Pepperstone is strongest at the second. Below is what each firm verifiably offers, and how to judge a tool before you rely on it.

Pepperstone: built for running your own models

If you build or buy an algorithm, AI-based or not, Pepperstone gives you more ways to run it than most firms: expert advisors on MT4 and MT5, C# cBots through cTrader Automate, direct API trading, and a free VPS for eligible and Pro clients so the strategy keeps running when your computer is off. On top, the Smart Trader Tools add-ons for MetaTrader (Pepperstone quotes 28 apps on one page and 60+ on another) include a Correlation Matrix and Trade Terminal. What it does not have, as far as we can verify, is an AI feature that picks trades for you.

Three kinds of tool sold as AI

  • Assistants and signal tools inside a broker's app that scan markets or suggest trades. You still decide.
  • Automation platforms that run your own logic, which may include a machine-learning model, and place orders without you: MetaTrader EAs, cTrader cBots, APIs.
  • Copy trading, where you follow other traders' positions. It is not AI, though it is often marketed next to it.

Questions to ask before trusting an AI feature

  1. What exactly does it output: a chart pattern, a trade idea, or a live order?
  2. Does it place trades on its own, and can you set limits on size and loss?
  3. Is there a track record, and is it of live trades or a back-test?
  4. Who provides it: the broker, or a third party with its own terms?
  5. What does it cost, and is that cost per month or built into spreads?

If you trade from the UAE

Pepperstone's copy-trading service lives on its international site, and the UAE copy-trading page returns an error, so don't plan around it. Retail leverage on the UAE site reaches 1:200 on major pairs, which an automated strategy can use far faster than you would by hand; cap position size in the code. Capital.com is our second choice in the UAE, especially if you need a swap-free account for strategies that hold overnight.

Does Pepperstone offer Capitalise.ai?

We could not confirm it as a current offering: the tool's page returns an error on Pepperstone's international, UK, Australian and UAE sites, and the only evidence is a 2022 webinar.

Can I connect my own AI model to Pepperstone?

Yes, through MT4 or MT5 expert advisors, cTrader cBots or Pepperstone's API trading. You are responsible for the model and its risk limits.

Are AI trading tools regulated?

The broker is regulated, not the tool. Check that the company holding your account is licensed, and treat third-party AI products as unregulated unless shown otherwise.
