What is the best trading app in Singapore?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • For CFD and forex trading from Singapore, our pick is the Pepperstone app, because the same account also runs on MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView, so you are never locked into one app.
  • Pepperstone's app works on both Standard and Razor accounts; the account behind it belongs to Pepperstone Markets Limited in the Bahamas, which holds no MAS licence.
  • XS, our second choice for Singapore, has its own XS Trading App plus MT4 and MT5.
  • Locally licensed apps include IG, CMC Markets, OANDA and eToro; Tiger Brokers' app is for shares and futures, not CFDs or spot forex.

Most trading apps look alike; the differences are in the account behind them. A good app for a Singapore trader runs on an account with low published costs and lets you switch to desktop tools without opening a second account. Pepperstone's does that. Here is how it compares, and what to check before you install any app.

Why the Pepperstone app is our pick

The Pepperstone app connects to the same account you can open in MetaTrader, cTrader or TradingView on a laptop, so a trade placed on your phone at lunch shows up on your desktop charts at night. It is available on both Standard and Razor accounts, it carries Pepperstone's perpetual CFDs, and the account behind it starts at $10 in SGD or another of ten base currencies. On Razor, the published EUR/USD average is 0.1 pips plus $3.50 commission per side when you trade through Pepperstone's own platform.

What is the best mobile trading app?

The best one is the app you can trust under pressure, on an account whose costs and owner you know. Judge any app on four points:

  • Who holds the account: the company and regulator named in the client agreement, not the app store listing.
  • What it costs: the spread and commission on the account behind the app, not the price of the download.
  • Whether it travels: can the same account be used on desktop platforms when your trading grows?
  • What it can trade: CFDs, real shares or futures are different products with different risks.

Limits of the Pepperstone app to know about

  • TradingView needs a Razor account; on Standard you have the app, MT4, MT5 and cTrader.
  • Copy trading comes as a separate product, the CopyTrading by Pepperstone app and web platform.
  • No local licence: if MAS supervision matters to you, choose one of the licensed apps above.
  • Pepperstone publishes no guaranteed stop-loss order on any of its sites we checked, so a stop can fill at a worse price in a fast market.

Broker pages behind the comparison.

Is the Pepperstone app free?

The app itself costs nothing to use; you pay the spread, plus commission on Razor, when you trade. Pepperstone charges no inactivity fee.

Can I trade real US shares in the Pepperstone app?

Pepperstone offers share CFDs, not ownership of the shares. If you want to own shares, a stockbroker app such as Tiger Trade is built for that.

Does the XS app support TradingView?

Not in our data. XS lists MT4, MT5 and its own XS Trading App.

Trading CFDs from a phone is as risky as trading them anywhere: leverage can turn small price moves into fast losses. Pepperstone's international site states that 80% of retail investor accounts lose money with this provider. This comparison is information only, not investment advice.
