Where can I trade silver online in the UAE?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • You can trade silver online in the UAE through a CFD broker; our pick is Pepperstone, which accepts UAE residents, offers AED accounts and lists 40 commodity CFDs.
  • Pepperstone's UAE site caps retail leverage on metals other than gold at 1:10 (1:50 for Pro clients), so silver needs far more margin than gold.
  • Our data does not include a published silver spread for Pepperstone, Capital.com or XS, so check XAG/USD pricing in the platform before you trade.
  • Capital.com and XS both offer swap-free accounts to UAE residents; Pepperstone does not.

Silver is usually traded online as a CFD on XAG/USD, through the same broker accounts used for gold and forex. Pepperstone is our first choice for UAE residents because of its funding options and clear leverage rules, with Capital.com and XS as alternatives. One honest caveat: none of the three publishes a silver spread in the data we use, so this page focuses on what we can verify.

Pepperstone: our pick for silver traders in the UAE

Pepperstone lists 40 commodity CFDs and, on its UAE site, a separate leverage tier for metals other than gold: 1:10 for retail clients. You can trade on MT5, cTrader or the Pepperstone app with either account, or on MT4 and TradingView with Razor. Accounts can be held in AED and funded through Mashreq Bank or Barclays at no minimum, or by card from $10. Before funding, open the platform's market watch, find XAG/USD and note its spread at the time of day you would trade.

What 1:10 leverage means for a silver position

Lower leverage means more margin per trade and slower losses relative to that margin. With Pepperstone's 1:10 retail limit on metals other than gold:

  • $5,000 of silver exposure needs $500 of margin.
  • A 1% fall in silver costs $50 on that position, or 10% of the margin.
  • Under the 1:200 limit Pepperstone sets for gold, the same $5,000 would need only $25, and a 1% move would cost double that margin.
  • Pro clients who qualify can use up to 1:50 on these metals.

Before your first silver trade

  1. Confirm the company holding your account; for Pepperstone UAE retail clients it is Pepperstone Markets Limited, regulated by the SCB in the Bahamas (SIA-F217).
  2. Check the XAG/USD spread and the overnight swap in the platform.
  3. Work out margin and loss per 1% move for your intended size.
  4. Set a stop-loss, knowing it can slip in a fast market.
  5. If you need swap-free terms, compare Capital.com's and XS's conditions for metals.

Is silver cheaper to trade than gold?

Not necessarily. Pepperstone publishes gold spreads, but our data has no silver spread for any of our three picks. Compare XAG/USD and XAU/USD in the platform at the same time of day.

Why does Pepperstone allow less leverage on silver than on gold?

Its UAE site places gold in its own tier (1:200 retail) and other metals in a lower one (1:10). Pepperstone does not explain the split, but the effect is that each silver position needs more margin and loses a smaller share of it on each move.

Can I trade silver in an AED account?

Yes, at Pepperstone and Capital.com, which both offer AED base currencies. XS lists USD, EUR and JPY only.
