Is Pepperstone a good cTrader broker?
Verdict
- Yes. Pepperstone is our top pick for cTrader in the UAE: it offers the platform on both its Standard and Razor accounts, and on Razor its forex commission is lowest on cTrader, at $3.00 per side ($6 round trip).
- At Pepperstone's published 0.1-pip EUR/USD average, a standard lot costs about $7 all-in on cTrader, against about $8 on MT5 or TradingView.
- Gold doesn't get the discount: XAU/USD is charged $3.50 per side on cTrader, the same as on Pepperstone's other platforms.
- Neither Capital.com nor XS lists cTrader, so among our three UAE picks only Pepperstone offers it.
Yes — for forex, cTrader is where Pepperstone's Razor pricing is cheapest, and UAE residents can use it on either account type from a $10 deposit. Below: what a trade costs on cTrader, what you can automate, and where choosing this platform makes no difference.
Pepperstone's cTrader pricing, platform by platform
Pepperstone lists cTrader for both of its UAE accounts. Razor gives you the raw spread plus a commission; Standard builds its fee into a wider spread and charges no commission. On Razor the commission depends on the platform you trade from, and for currency pairs cTrader is the cheapest of the five.
| Platform | Per side | Round trip |
|---|---|---|
| cTrader | $3.00 | $6 |
| MT5 | $3.50 | $7 |
| TradingView | $3.50 | $7 |
| Pepperstone platform | $3.50 | $7 |
| MT4 | Charged in full when the trade opens | $7 |

Worked example: one lot on cTrader versus MT5
Take one standard lot of EUR/USD, opened and closed in a USD account, where a pip is worth $10. Using Pepperstone's published averages, the round trip costs roughly:
- Razor on cTrader: 0.1 pips ($1) plus $6 commission, about $7.
- Razor on MT5 or TradingView: $1 plus $7, about $8.
- Standard on cTrader: 1.1 pips, about $11, with no commission.
- Gold on Razor: cTrader charges $3.50 per side on XAU/USD, the same as elsewhere, so the cTrader saving applies to forex only.
Automation, copying and execution
The main draw of cTrader for system traders is cTrader Automate, where you build and run trading robots (cBots) in C#. Pepperstone also lists API trading and a free VPS for eligible and Pro clients. Its international website describes cTrader Copy, built into the platform, but the UAE site has no copy-trading page, so ask support to confirm it is enabled on your account before you rely on it. On execution, Pepperstone says orders fill from 50 milliseconds with a 99.32% fill rate and no dealer intervention, based on trades between 1 January and 31 March 2026. That is the broker's own figure, not a test of ours.
Limits to weigh before you choose it
- Overnight positions pay swap: Pepperstone does not offer its swap-free account to UAE residents; it is limited to 23 listed countries.
- Your CFDs come from Pepperstone Markets Limited, licensed in the Bahamas by the SCB (SIA-F217). The group's DIFC company is regulated by the DFSA (F004356), and its Dubai LLC's CMA licence covers introduction and consultation, not dealing.
- No investor compensation scheme is named for UAE clients, although retail accounts are entitled to negative balance protection.
- Averages are not fixed prices: spreads widen around major data releases and at the daily rollover.
Capital.com and XS don't offer cTrader
Our second and third picks for UAE residents work on other platforms. Capital.com offers its own web platform and app, MT4, MT5 and TradingView, holds a UAE CMA licence (20200000176) and gives UAE residents a swap-free account. XS runs MT4, MT5 and its own app; its Elite account is published at 0.1 pips average on EUR/USD with a $6 round-turn commission and a $500 minimum. If cTrader itself is the requirement, Pepperstone is the only one of the three that has it.
