How do I open a Pepperstone account in the UAE?
Verdict
- To open a Pepperstone account in the UAE, apply on pepperstone.com/en-ae, choose Standard or Razor, set AED as the base currency, pick a platform, complete identity checks, then fund from $10.
- Local funding runs through Mashreq Bank and Barclays transfers (up to 2 business days), or instantly by Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Decide your account type first: Razor (0.1-pip EUR/USD average plus commission) suits frequent traders; Standard (1.1 pips, no commission) suits occasional ones.
- Know before applying: Pepperstone's swap-free account isn't available to UAE residents, and your CFDs are issued by its Bahamas company.
Opening the account takes a few minutes; the decisions you make along the way decide what you pay for years. Here are the steps, the choices to settle beforehand, and the ways to get dirhams in and out.

Retail or Pro?
You will be onboarded as a retail client unless you qualify as Pro. Retail gives negative balance protection and leverage up to 1:200 on major pairs; Pro raises leverage to 1:500 on currencies and gold, with only a one-time negative balance protection of up to USD 100,000. Pepperstone's UAE Pro page applies its Australian tests (a sophisticated-investor quiz with trading experience, or a wholesale test with an accountant's certificate).
