Which brokers are best for trading forex, indices and commodities from one account?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is our pick for trading forex, indices and commodities from one account: a single Standard or Razor account covers 93 FX pairs, 26 indices and 40 commodities, according to its account table (data from 12 March 2025).
  • The same account also carries 1,162 share CFDs, 95 ETF CFDs and 31 crypto CFDs, so you do not need a second login to diversify.
  • Leverage changes by asset class on Pepperstone's UAE site: up to 1:200 on major FX, major indices and gold, but 1:20 on energies and 1:10 on other metals.
  • Capital.com's Dubai company publishes higher retail limits, up to 1:300 on indices and up to 1:500 on gold and crude.

Running forex, index and commodity trades through one account keeps your margin, statements and withdrawals in one place. What differs between brokers is how many markets sit in that account, what each costs, and how much margin each asset class needs.

Pepperstone: one account, every major asset class

Open either a Standard or a Razor account and the full CFD list is there: currencies, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs and crypto, on the platform you choose. Pepperstone's own markets counts disagree (its UAE site says "1350+ markets"), so we use its account table, dated 12 March 2025. Costs differ by asset: FX on Razor pays commission, index CFDs pay none, and gold averages 0.12 on Razor and 0.19 on Standard.

Margin needed per asset class

What a $10,000 position ties up as margin at each maximum retail leverage on Pepperstone's UAE site:

Pepperstone UAE retail leverage and margin on a $10,000 position
Asset classMax retail leverageMargin
Major FX pairs1:200$50
Major indices1:200$50
Minor indices1:100$100
Gold1:200$50
Energies (oil, gas)1:20$500
Other metals1:10$1,000
Soft commodities1:50$200

How the alternatives compare across asset classes

  • Capital.com (CMA, Dubai): retail FX up to 1:300 and 1:500 on 15 listed majors; indices 1:300; commodities 1:200, rising to 1:500 on gold and crude; shares 1:20.
  • XS: up to 1:2000 with dynamic leverage on its standard account page, which does not say which XS entity applies; check the limit on your own account.
  • Higher limits are not lower risk: $500 of margin controls $250,000 of crude at 1:500, against $10,000 at Pepperstone's 1:20.

Before you mix asset classes in one account

  1. Check trading hours: indices and energies close at times FX does not, so a stop may not fire over a weekend gap.
  2. Read the overnight funding on index and commodity CFDs, not just FX swaps.
  3. Watch how much margin each new position consumes; energies and metals need far more than FX at Pepperstone.

How many markets does Pepperstone offer?

Its account table (12 March 2025) lists 93 FX pairs, 26 indices, 40 commodities, 1,162 shares, 95 ETFs and 31 crypto CFDs. Its UAE site rounds this to "1350+ markets".

Do index CFDs carry commission at Pepperstone?

No. Index CFDs are priced through the spread only, on both Standard and Razor accounts.

Can I trade crypto CFDs on the same Pepperstone account?

Yes. UAE retail leverage on BTC/USD and ETH/USD is up to 1:20, and 1:2 on other crypto CFDs.

CFDs are complex instruments and carry a high risk of losing money rapidly because of leverage. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. This page is general information, not investment advice; check each broker's current terms on its own site.
