Who is the best forex broker in the UAE?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is our top pick for forex traders in the UAE: AED base-currency accounts, local transfers through Mashreq Bank and Barclays, a $10 minimum deposit, and a published Razor average of 0.1 pips on EUR/USD plus $3.50 commission per side.
  • CFDs for UAE retail clients are issued by Pepperstone Markets Limited, regulated in the Bahamas by the SCB (SIA-F217); the group also lists a DIFC company regulated by the DFSA (F004356).
  • Capital.com is our second choice, and the better fit if you need a swap-free account, which Pepperstone does not offer to UAE residents. It holds a UAE CMA licence (20200000176) through a Dubai company.
  • XS ranks third: its Elite account is published at 0.1 pips average on EUR/USD with a $6 round-turn commission and a $500 minimum, but it has no AED account.

If you live in the UAE and want one forex account with low published costs, dirham funding and a full choice of platforms, open it with Pepperstone. Below: which Pepperstone company you actually contract with, what a lot of EUR/USD costs at our top three, and where Capital.com or XS is the better call.

Why Pepperstone is our first choice in the UAE

Most UAE traders decide on three things, and Pepperstone publishes clear answers to all of them. Cost: Razor averages 0.1 pips on EUR/USD plus $3.50 per side on MT5 and TradingView ($3.00 on cTrader); Standard averages 1.1 pips with no commission. Funding: hold the account in AED and pay in by Mashreq Bank or Barclays local transfer (up to 2 business days), card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Platforms: Razor runs on MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and Pepperstone's own app. The trade-off, covered next: the company issuing your CFDs is regulated in the Bahamas, not onshore in the UAE.

Which Pepperstone company holds a UAE account

Pepperstone's UAE website names three companies, and each does a different job. Pepperstone Markets Limited, regulated by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (SIA-F217), is the product issuer. Pepperstone Financial Services LLC, at Emaar Square in Downtown Dubai, holds a UAE Capital Market Authority licence (20200000358) for introduction and financial consultation, which is not a retail dealing licence. Pepperstone Financial Services (DIFC) Ltd is regulated by the DFSA (F004356) in the Dubai International Financial Centre. What that means for you:

  • Retail clients are entitled to negative balance protection, according to Pepperstone's UAE risk disclosure.
  • No investor compensation scheme is named for UAE clients.
  • Retail leverage on the UAE site goes up to 1:200 on major FX pairs and gold, and 1:20 on BTC/USD and ETH/USD.

Who are the best forex brokers right now?

For a UAE resident, on the terms each firm publishes, our order is Pepperstone, Capital.com, then XS. Pick Capital.com if you need a swap-free account or a CMA-licensed Dubai company; XS suits MetaTrader traders who fund in dollars.

What one lot of EUR/USD costs at each

One standard lot (100,000 units) of EUR/USD, opened and closed in a USD account, at $10 a pip and each firm's published average spread. XS Elite matches Pepperstone's cTrader price; Pepperstone pulls ahead on the $10 entry point, dirham accounts and local bank transfers. Capital.com is left out: our data holds no published EUR/USD average for it. Positions held past the daily rollover also pay swap.

  • Pepperstone Razor on MT5 or TradingView: 0.1 pips ($1) + $7 commission = $8.
  • Pepperstone Razor on cTrader: $1 + $6 commission = $7.
  • Pepperstone Standard: 1.1 pips = $11, no commission.
  • XS Elite: 0.1 pips ($1) + $6 commission = $7.

What is the best forex trading platform in Dubai?

The platform is the software; the broker is the company holding your money. For a Dubai trader the strongest setup is a Pepperstone Razor account, because it is the one account type that offers all five: MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and Pepperstone's web platform and app. Choose by how you trade:

  • TradingView if you already chart there and want to place trades from the same screen.
  • cTrader for the lowest Razor commission ($3.00 per side on FX) and C# bots through cTrader Automate.
  • MT4 or MT5 for expert advisors, with Pepperstone's Smart Trader Tools add-ons.
  • The Standard account is limited to the web platform and app, MT5 and cTrader.

Where can I trade forex online in the UAE?

With an online broker that accepts UAE residents and tells you plainly which company will hold your account. Pepperstone, Capital.com and XS all accept UAE residents. Before you send money:

  • Find the company named on your client agreement, then look it up on its regulator's public register (the DFSA register for DIFC firms, the CMA's licensee list for onshore UAE firms, the SCB register for Pepperstone Markets Limited).
  • Confirm the account currency: Pepperstone and Capital.com offer AED accounts; XS lists USD, EUR and JPY.
  • Check how you will withdraw: to the same card or bank account you paid in from, and how many business days the broker says it takes.
  • If you need a swap-free account, confirm it applies to UAE residents before you deposit: Capital.com and XS say it does; Pepperstone does not offer it to UAE residents.
  1. Confirm the contracting company and its regulator in the client agreement.
  2. Pick an AED base currency if you earn in dirhams (Pepperstone and Capital.com offer one; XS does not).
  3. Check withdrawals: Pepperstone lists cards within 1 business day and Apple Pay or Google Pay as immediate, back to the original source.
  4. Need swap-free? Rule Pepperstone out and compare Capital.com and XS.
  5. Start small: with a $10 minimum you can test a deposit and a withdrawal before trading size.

Is Pepperstone regulated in the UAE?

On Pepperstone's UAE site, up to 1:200 on major FX pairs and gold and 1:20 on BTC/USD and ETH/USD. Capital.com's Dubai company lists up to 1:300 on FX, or 1:500 on 15 listed majors. Leverage magnifies losses as fast as gains.

CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
