Which broker is best for scalping?
Verdict
- Pepperstone is our pick for scalping: on cTrader a EUR/USD round turn costs about 0.7 pips in total (0.1-pip published average plus $6 commission), and Pepperstone says it fills orders from 50 milliseconds with no dealer intervention.
- One gap: Pepperstone's UAE pages that we checked publish no explicit scalping policy, while expert advisors are allowed; confirm the policy with support before you scalp at size.
- FP Markets does publish that scalping is allowed, with Raw EUR/USD at 0.11 pips average plus $3 per side, and it accepts UAE residents.
- Capital.com and XS follow as our second and third picks; XS Elite's EUR/USD round turn costs the same $7 a lot as Pepperstone on cTrader.
A scalper lives on the difference between a few pips of target and the cost of getting in and out. That makes three things decisive: the all-in cost per round turn, how fast and cleanly orders fill, and whether the broker is comfortable with very short holding times.
Why Pepperstone suits scalpers
Use the Razor account on cTrader. The raw spread on EUR/USD averages 0.1 pips and the commission is $3.00 per side, the lowest of Pepperstone's platforms. Pepperstone states an execution speed from 50 milliseconds and a 99.32% fill rate on trades from the first quarter of 2026, with no dealer intervention. Expert advisors are allowed on MT4 and MT5, cTrader supports C# cBots, and eligible or Pro clients can get a free VPS to keep a strategy running close to the servers.

Break-even: how far price must move before you profit
Commission converted to pips at $10 a pip on one EUR/USD lot, plus the published average spread:
- On a 5-pip target, the cTrader cost eats 14% of the gross move; on the Standard account it eats 22%.
- XS Elite: 0.1 pips average plus a $6 round-turn commission, so $7 a lot, the same money as Pepperstone on cTrader.
| Account | Spread | Commission (round turn) | Total in pips |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pepperstone Razor, cTrader | 0.1 | $6 = 0.6 pips | 0.7 |
| Pepperstone Razor, MT5 | 0.1 | $7 = 0.7 pips | 0.8 |
| Pepperstone Standard | 1.1 | None | 1.1 |
| FP Markets Raw | 0.11 | $6 = 0.6 pips | 0.71 |
The policy question to settle first
Some brokers restrict trades held for only seconds. Pepperstone allows expert advisors on its UAE site, but we found no published scalping policy, either permitting or limiting it, so ask support in writing before you deploy a high-frequency strategy. FP Markets states plainly that scalping, expert advisors and hedging are allowed. Capital.com publishes that expert advisors and hedging are allowed but, in our data, says nothing either way about scalping.
Account settings that help a scalper
- Choose Razor, not Standard: the 0.4-pip gap between the two on EUR/USD decides most short trades.
- Pick cTrader for FX if you trade by hand; use MT5 if your strategy is an expert advisor.
- Hold the account in the currency you fund in (AED is offered) to avoid conversion on every deposit.
- Test fills on a small live position before scaling; a published average is not a guarantee of your fill.

Spreads are published averages; scalping fills can be worse in fast markets.
Does Pepperstone allow scalping?
Pepperstone allows expert advisors and publishes execution statistics, but its UAE pages that we checked state no explicit scalping policy. Ask support to confirm in writing before scalping at size.
What is the cheapest way to scalp EUR/USD at Pepperstone?
The Razor account on cTrader: a 0.1-pip published average spread plus $3.00 commission per side, about 0.7 pips per round turn in total.
Is the Standard account usable for scalping?
It works, but the 1.1-pip published average spread is wider than Razor's all-in cost of about 0.7 to 0.8 pips, which matters on small targets.
