Which forex brokers offer Asian currency pairs?
Verdict
- Pepperstone is our pick for Asian currency pairs: USD/JPY carries a published 0.3-pip Razor average, and the account can be held in SGD, HKD, JPY, AUD or NZD.
- Beyond USD/JPY, our data does not list Pepperstone's or any other broker's Asian pairs by name, so confirm pairs such as USD/SGD, USD/HKD or USD/CNH in the platform's symbol list.
- Pepperstone lists 93 forex CFDs in total (data from 12 March 2025).
- Singapore residents trade through Pepperstone Markets Limited (SCB Bahamas, SIA-F217), which holds no MAS licence; XS accepts Singapore and offers JPY accounts; Capital.com does not accept Singapore residents.
"Asian pairs" usually means the yen crosses plus the regional currencies: the Singapore dollar, Hong Kong dollar, offshore yuan and others. Only one of them, USD/JPY, comes with a published average spread in our data, and Pepperstone is the broker that publishes it.

Costs to watch on regional pairs
Our averages exist only for the most-traded pairs, so on a regional pair the live spread in the platform is what you will pay, plus commission on Razor. On a USD/SGD lot, Pepperstone's SGD commission of SGD 9.10 round trip works out to about 0.9 pips, because a pip is worth SGD 10. Overnight swaps on currencies with large interest-rate gaps can outweigh spread costs, so check them before holding positions.
Checklist before you trade an Asian pair
- Search the symbol list for the exact pair: a broker's total pair count does not tell you whether it carries yours.
- Compare the live spread at your trading time with the published USD/JPY or EUR/USD averages as a reference.
- Check the margin required for that pair; it can differ from the majors.
- Read the swap for your direction if you will hold overnight.
Locally licensed alternatives
If you prefer a broker with a Singapore licence, IG Asia, Saxo Capital Markets, CMC Markets Singapore, OANDA and StoneX (FOREX.com Singapore) hold MAS licences. Our data does not include their Asian pair lists or spreads, so compare those on their sites.
