Which forex broker has the tightest spreads during Asian trading hours?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is our pick for trading in Asian hours, judged on its published all-day averages: 0.1 pips on EUR/USD, 0.2 on GBP/USD and 0.3 on USD/JPY for Razor.
  • No broker in our comparison, Pepperstone included, publishes spreads broken down by session, so nobody can prove it is tightest between Tokyo's open and London's.
  • Pepperstone's contact page says support runs 24/7, and it states execution from 50 milliseconds with no dealer intervention.
  • Hong Kong residents trade with Pepperstone Markets Limited (Bahamas, SCB SIA-F217); Pepperstone holds no SFC licence.

Traders in Hong Kong do most of their dealing while Europe sleeps, so the question is a good one. The honest answer is that session-level spread data is not published by the brokers we compare. What we can do is show whose all-day averages are lowest, which pairs to watch in your morning, and how to measure the Asian-hours spread in a week.

Pepperstone, judged on what is published

Pepperstone publishes average spreads for its main pairs rather than just 'from' figures. On Razor those averages are 0.1 pips for EUR/USD, 0.2 for GBP/USD and 0.3 for USD/JPY, plus commission. They are averages across the trading day, not Asian-hours figures, but they are the lowest averages we can verify from a broker that accepts Hong Kong residents. Pepperstone also states execution from 50 milliseconds with a 99.32% fill rate.

Why session spreads are hard to pin down

Pepperstone, Capital.com and XS all leave session-level data off their sites. Capital.com shows only live prices, and XS publishes one figure: EUR/USD from 0.1 pips on its Elite account, with a $6 round-turn commission and a $500 minimum. Without a published Asian-session average from any of them, a 'tightest in Asian hours' ranking would be guesswork.

Spreads on other Asian pairs, such as AUD/USD, USD/HKD or USD/CNH, are not published in our data.

Measure the Asian-hours spread yourself

  1. Open the same pair at each broker you are considering, on the same screen.
  2. Record the spread at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. Hong Kong time for five trading days.
  3. Log readings taken around the daily rollover (5 p.m. New York, early morning in Hong Kong) separately, so they don't skew your average.
  4. Add each account's commission before comparing; Pepperstone Razor charges $3.50 per side on MT5 and TradingView, $3.00 on cTrader.
  5. Keep the account that is cheapest at the hours you actually trade.

Support and account terms in your time zone

  • Support: Pepperstone's international contact page says 24/7; other Pepperstone pages say 24 hours on weekdays and 18 hours at weekends. No Hong Kong phone number is published.
  • Entity: Pepperstone Markets Limited, Securities Commission of The Bahamas; no SFC licence and no named compensation scheme.
  • Currency: HKD accounts are available, which removes conversion costs on deposits.
