Which CFD brokers offer a free demo account to Singapore traders?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is the CFD broker we would practise with as a Singapore trader, but demo-account terms are not part of the verified data we hold for any broker, so we do not list demo lengths or virtual balances.
  • What matters more is what you practise on: Pepperstone's live account reaches MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and its own app, so a strategy built on any of them carries over.
  • Once practice is done, Pepperstone's live minimum is $10, against $500 for XS's Elite account.
  • Pepperstone serves Singapore from the Bahamas (SCB SIA-F217) without a MAS licence; IG, CMC Markets and OANDA are MAS-licensed alternatives.

Rather than publish a demo list we cannot stand behind, this page compares what you would practise on and what it costs to go live, using figures each broker publishes. Confirm demo terms on each broker's sign-up page.

Why we would practise with Pepperstone

A demo is only useful if the live account behind it matches. Pepperstone's live Razor account runs on five platforms with a published 0.1-pip average EUR/USD spread, so the platform you learn on and the prices you see in practice are the ones you would trade. Its live minimum is low enough that you can switch to real money in small size as soon as practice stops teaching you anything.

Questions to ask any broker about its demo

  1. Does it expire, and can it be extended?
  2. Can I set the virtual balance to what I would really deposit?
  3. Does it show the same spreads, commission and swap as the live account?
  4. Is it available on the platform I plan to use live?

Practice habits that transfer to live trading

  • Size demo trades as you would live; a $100,000 virtual balance teaches nothing if you will fund $500.
  • Log every trade with entry, exit, reason and cost.
  • Hold some trades overnight to see how swap affects results.
  • Move to a small live account once demo results are steady, since demo fills don't reflect real slippage.

Do demo accounts cost anything?

We have not verified any broker's demo terms. Check whether a demo is free and unlimited on the sign-up page.

Is a demo the same as live trading?

No. Demo fills do not show real slippage, and you trade differently when your own money is at risk.

Which broker has the lowest live minimum after the demo?

Of those above, CMC Markets and OANDA show $0 and Pepperstone $10.
