Which CFD broker offers the most markets?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is our pick for market range among brokers serving Singapore: its account tables count 1,444 CFDs (93 FX pairs, 26 indices, 1,162 shares, 40 commodities, 95 ETFs) plus 31 crypto CFDs, with data from March 2025.
  • We cannot say which broker has the most markets overall, because comparable instrument counts for other brokers are not in our verified data.
  • Pepperstone's own figures vary by page, from "more than 1350 CFDs" to a later crypto margin table listing 44 coins against the US dollar, so treat any single total as approximate.
  • Singapore residents trade these through Pepperstone Markets Limited (SCB Bahamas, SIA-F217), which holds no MAS licence.

Market counts are the least reliable number brokers publish: they change monthly, are counted differently, and rarely match from one page to the next. So rather than crown a winner on totals, we show what Pepperstone actually lists, asset class by asset class, and how to compare it with a rival's list.

Why we don't name an overall winner

Some brokers count each share CFD, some count underlying companies, some fold forwards and options in. Pepperstone itself publishes "more than 1350 CFDs" on its markets page and 1,444 in its account tables, and its UK site says "more than 2700" because it adds spread bets to CFDs. Without the same method applied to every broker, a ranking by total would be guesswork. What we can say is that Pepperstone covers all six main CFD asset classes plus perpetual CFDs and 24-hour trading, five days a week, on more than 100 US share CFDs.

How to compare market range for your own trading

  1. List the exact instruments you trade, for example HK50, gold and a handful of US tech shares.
  2. Check each on the broker's symbol list, not the headline count.
  3. Compare the cost on those instruments: Pepperstone's HK share CFDs pay 0.2% per side, US shares $0.02 per share.
  4. Check trading hours; Pepperstone's "-24" US share CFDs trade 24 hours a day, five days a week.

When another broker is the better fit

  • You want to own shares, ETFs or listed options rather than trade CFDs: MAS-licensed brokers such as Tiger Brokers and Phillip Securities sell exchange-traded products.
  • You want MAS supervision with CFDs: IG, CMC Markets, Saxo and Plus500 list MAS licences.
  • You trade mainly forex on MetaTrader: XS's Elite account, at 0.1 pips average on EUR/USD, is also open to Singapore residents.
