Which brokers offer the most CFD instruments?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is the broker we recommend for range: its account tables count 1,444 CFDs (93 FX pairs, 26 indices, 40 commodities, 1,162 shares, 95 ETFs) plus 31 crypto CFDs on its international and Australian sites.
  • We do not name one broker as having the most instruments, because our verified data has no comparable counts for Capital.com, XS or others, and brokers count differently.
  • Pepperstone's own figures disagree with each other (1350+, 1,444 and, on the UK site, 2,700+ including spread bets), so treat any headline number as approximate.
  • Breadth that matters more than the total: 24-hour trading on 100+ US share CFDs, perpetual CFDs, and 44 crypto pairs against the dollar on the Bahamas entity's retail margin table.

The honest answer is that no broker's instrument count can be checked like-for-like, because each counts in its own way. What we can show is Pepperstone's published breakdown, why we recommend it for range, and how to confirm that the specific markets you trade are covered.

Pepperstone's range, and why we recommend it

For a UAE resident who wants one account covering currencies, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs and crypto, Pepperstone is our pick. Its range is published by asset class and dated, which is more than most brokers offer, and it runs on MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and its own app, so the instrument list is not tied to one platform. The UAE accounts page states “1350+ markets”; the detailed tables below come from March 2025 data on its international and Australian sites.

Why we don't publish a league table of instrument counts

A broker can inflate its count by listing the same index as cash and forward contracts, adding currency variants of one coin, or counting spread bets and CFDs separately; Pepperstone's UK figure of 2,700+ does exactly that last thing. Our fact pack holds no verified totals for Capital.com, XS or the other brokers we cover, so any ranking would be guesswork. Ask a broker for the specific symbols you trade instead of comparing totals.

Breadth that matters more than the headline number

  • 24-hour US shares: Pepperstone says 100+ US share CFDs trade 24/5 via a “-24” suffix, such as AAPL.US-24.
  • Perpetual CFDs: the UAE retail margin table lists GOLD-PERP, NAS100-PERP, US500-PERP, WTOIL-PERP and BRENTOIL-PERP. Confirm you can trade them on your account before planning around them.
  • Crypto depth: the Bahamas entity's retail margin table lists 44 coins against the dollar, from BTC and ETH to SOL, XRP and DOGE, plus BTC and ETH in AUD, EUR and GBP.
  • Share commission: US share and ETF CFDs cost $0.02 per share at Pepperstone, so a wide share list is usable at small size.

How to check a broker's range before you fund

  1. List the ten symbols you actually trade, including any regional shares or minor pairs.
  2. Search each on the broker's market pages or ask support to confirm it is available to UAE residents on your account type.
  3. Check the leverage and trading hours for each; Pepperstone's UAE retail caps run from 1:200 on major FX down to 1:20 on shares.
  4. Open the platform you will use and confirm the symbol is listed there; not every instrument is on every platform.

Does Pepperstone offer share CFDs on Gulf stock exchanges?

Its published share coverage is US, UK, European, Australian and Hong Kong shares. Our sources do not show Gulf-listed shares.

How many crypto CFDs does Pepperstone have?

Its account tables say 31 (March 2025 data). The September 2026 retail margin table for the Bahamas entity lists 44 coins against the US dollar.

Does a bigger instrument list mean a better broker?

Not by itself. Costs, regulation and the platform matter more, as long as the broker carries the markets you actually trade.

CFD trading is high risk: leverage can wipe out your money rapidly, and CFDs are complex products. Make sure you understand them and can absorb the loss before trading. This is general information, not investment advice; confirm every term on the broker's website first.
