Which is better for scalping, Pepperstone or Forex.com?
Verdict
- Pepperstone is our pick for scalping over FOREX.com: on cTrader its Razor account costs 0.7 pips all-in on EUR/USD at the published average, and it says orders execute from 50 milliseconds with a 99.32% fill rate and no dealer intervention.
- FOREX.com publishes EUR/USD 'as low as 0.7' points on its UK site, a floor rather than an average, and no execution statistics in our data.
- Pepperstone adds cTrader and a free VPS for eligible and Pro clients; FOREX.com UK offers Web Trader, its app, MT4 and TradingView, with MT5 on its global site.
- Neither broker's general scalping policy is in our data, so confirm it in writing before you start.
Scalpers pay the spread and commission dozens of times a day, so a fraction of a pip decides the year. They also need fills that arrive fast and at the quoted price. On both counts Pepperstone publishes more than FOREX.com does, which is why it gets our vote. Here is the evidence, and what neither broker tells you.
Why Pepperstone gets the nod for scalping
Two published numbers matter most to a scalper. Cost: Razor averages 0.1 pips on EUR/USD, and cTrader commission of $3.00 per side adds 0.6 pips, for 0.7 pips all-in at the published average. Speed: Pepperstone says execution starts from 50 milliseconds, with a 99.32% fill rate and no dealer intervention, based on trades from January to March 2026. FOREX.com's 0.7-point figure is the tightest it quotes, and our data holds no execution figures for it.

Cost per round trip, the scalper's number
Fifty round-turn trades of one lot of EUR/USD a day, at $10 a pip, using each broker's published figure:
| Account | Per round trip | 50 trades | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pepperstone Razor, cTrader | $7 | $350 | Average spread + commission |
| Pepperstone Razor, MT5 | $8 | $400 | Average spread + commission |
| FOREX.com UK standard | $7 or more | $350 or more | Minimum spread only |
Platforms and automation for fast trading
- cTrader at Pepperstone: the lowest Razor commission, plus cTrader Automate for C# cBots.
- MT4 and MT5 at Pepperstone for expert advisors, with a free VPS for eligible and Pro clients so EAs can run around the clock.
- API trading at Pepperstone for custom systems.
- FOREX.com UK: Web Trader, mobile app, MT4 and TradingView; its global site adds MT5 and a RAW Spread account whose commission is not in our data.
Rules to confirm before you scalp
Our data does not include a general scalping policy for either broker. Pepperstone's swap-free terms explicitly allow scalping, EAs and hedging, and it permits EAs on its standard accounts, but that is not the same as a written policy on very short holding times for every account. Before you scale up at either firm, ask support in writing:
- Are trades held for seconds treated any differently?
- Is there a minimum distance for stop and limit orders on your main pairs?
- Do spreads widen at the daily rollover, and for how long?
- Can you run an EA or cBot from a VPS without restriction?
Where FOREX.com is stronger
- Guaranteed stop-loss orders on its UK site, with a premium only if triggered; Pepperstone publishes none.
- A MAS-licensed Singapore company, StoneX Financial Pte. Ltd., if you trade from Singapore; Pepperstone serves Singapore from the Bahamas with no MAS licence.
