Which Australian brokers offer cTrader?
Verdict
- Pepperstone is our pick for cTrader in Australia: it lists cTrader on both of its Australian account types, and Razor FX commission on cTrader is USD 3.00 per side, lower than its USD 3.50 on MT5.
- IC Markets (AFSL 335692), FP Markets (AFSL 286354) and Fusion Markets (AFSL 385620) also list cTrader among their platforms.
- Capital.com, our usual second choice in Australia, does not list cTrader; its platforms are its own web and mobile app, MT4, MT5 and TradingView.
- Fusion Markets publishes the lowest raw-account commission of the four ($2.25 per side), but no EUR/USD-specific spread figure, so compare the total cost, not the commission alone.
Four ASIC-licensed brokers in our data list cTrader: Pepperstone, IC Markets, FP Markets and Fusion Markets. We put Pepperstone first because you get cTrader whichever account you choose, and its Razor commission on that platform is the lowest Pepperstone charges on any platform.
Pepperstone: cTrader on Standard and Razor
Pepperstone Group Limited (ASIC, AFSL 414530) lists cTrader for both Australian account types. On Standard you pay no commission and the published EUR/USD average is 1.1 pips. On Razor the published average is 0.1 pips, and cTrader carries a lower FX commission than Pepperstone's other platforms: USD 3.00 per side, or USD 6 for a full round trip, against USD 3.50 per side on MT5, TradingView and the Pepperstone app. Gold on cTrader is charged USD 3.50 per side. For algorithmic traders, Pepperstone names cTrader Automate, which runs C# cBots, among its integrations. The minimum deposit is $10, and you can fund by PayID, BPAY, card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

What a lot of EUR/USD costs on cTrader
A worked example for one standard lot (100,000 units) opened and closed in a USD account, at $10 a pip and each broker's published average spread:
- Pepperstone Razor on cTrader: 0.1 pips ($1) plus $6 commission = $7.
- Pepperstone Standard on cTrader: 1.1 pips = $11, no commission.
- IC Markets Raw Spread: 0.01 pips average ($0.10) plus $7 commission = $7.10.
- FP Markets Raw: 0.11 pips average ($1.10) plus $6 commission = $7.10.
- Fusion Markets Zero: $4.50 commission plus a spread it does not publish for EUR/USD on its own, so we cannot total it.
Before you choose a cTrader broker
- Check that the account type you want carries cTrader. At Pepperstone it does on both; elsewhere, confirm it on the account page.
- If you plan to run cBots around the clock, ask whether a VPS is provided. Pepperstone offers a free VPS to eligible and Pro clients.
- Fusion Markets' ASIC entity is for Australian clients only, so its offer applies only to Australian residents.
- Retail leverage under ASIC rules is capped at 1:30 on major FX pairs, whatever the platform.
