Which brokers give active traders a dedicated account manager?

Updated: 2026-10-21How we test

Verdict

  • Pepperstone is our pick for active UK traders, but we couldn't confirm that it, or any other firm in our verified data, promises a dedicated account manager; ask before you rely on one.
  • What Pepperstone does publish for heavy traders: Razor pricing at a 0.1-pip EUR/USD average, cTrader commission of $3.00 per side on FX, a free VPS for eligible and Pro clients, and API trading.
  • Support runs 24 hours on weekdays and 18 hours at weekends by phone, email, WhatsApp and live chat, by its accounts page; its contact page says 24/7.
  • A named contact is only useful if they can act quickly; test response times on a small account before you trade size.

Many active traders want one person who knows their account. No UK firm in the material we verified commits to that in writing, so we rank on what is published: costs, tools and how quickly you can reach someone. On those, Pepperstone comes first.

Pepperstone for active traders, with one caveat

Pepperstone Limited (FCA 684312) doesn't state on the pages we checked that active or professional clients get a dedicated account manager. If that matters to you, call 0800 046 5473 or email support@pepperstone.com and ask what changes once you trade in volume or qualify as a Pro. We still recommend it because the parts that cost active traders money are published: Razor pricing, platform-by-platform commission, Pro leverage and a free VPS for eligible clients.

  • A free VPS for eligible and Pro clients, for running expert advisors without your own computer on.
  • Automation through MT4 and MT5 expert advisors, cTrader Automate and API trading.
  • No inactivity or account-keeping fees.

Account manager or fast support: what you need

For an active trader, the value of a named contact is speed when something goes wrong: a platform issue mid-session, a margin question, a stuck withdrawal. A support desk that answers at 3am on a weekday can do that as well as one person who works office hours. Before you decide, list the situations where you would need help and check how each firm handles them. Pepperstone's two support statements conflict, so check the hours that apply at the time you trade.

Questions to ask any broker

  • Is a named contact offered, and at what trading volume or client category?
  • What can that person actually do: approve withdrawals, adjust margin, escalate platform faults?
  • Who covers when they are away, and does cover extend to weekends?
  • Does professional status change the service, and what protections do you lose with it?

Its UK pages in our verified data don't promise one. Ask support whether a named contact is available at your trading volume or as a Pro client.

Is Pepperstone's support available 24/7?

Its contact page says 24/7; its accounts page says 24 hours on weekdays and 18 hours at weekends. Check the hours that apply when you need help.

Do I need Pro status to get a free VPS?

Pepperstone lists a free VPS for eligible and Pro clients. Ask which criteria make a retail client eligible.
